Iran short animation 'Maned & Macho' has been scheduled to compete at 2018 "Pacific Meridian" Int'l Film Festival of the Asian-Pacific region held in Russia.
Directed by Shiva Sadegh Asadi, the short animation will be competing with 6 flicks from countries such as Portugal, Germany and Russia.
The animation narrates the story of a young girl's repressed emotions and instincts that are embodied in some animals that come out of her dreams. However, no one in her family is receptive to these animals.
'Maned & Macho' has attained international film events, winning awards at the 2018 edition of the Animavi - International Film Festival of Poetic Animation in Italy.
The animation has also been listed as the official selection of Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.
Developing cultural exchange between Asia-Pacific countries, presenting Asia-Pacific cinematography to Russian people and searching for constructively supporting new young cinematographers are among the goals and objectives of the International Film Festival of Asian-Pacific countries.
The 16th edition of the event is slated for September 21-27, 2018 in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
